The Super Bowl is a few weeks away. The Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots will play for the Vince Lombardi Trophy in Houston, Texas. The Super Bowl party is like a national holiday. Friends get together to eat snacks, appetizers and hors d'oeuvres. From pizza to wings to popcorn and everything in between, food is what we do while watching the game and commercials. I get asked over and over again, by people that want to get into the popcorn business, what they should do to be successful. My advice is usually technical. Machines to buy, marketing strategy and so on. But the one thing I can not test is their desire to be successful. Does the person have what it takes to make popcorn with passion.

We are in schools often and see how hard teachers work in their classrooms. It is amazing the dedication and time they give to help young people become successful adults. Many times, the teacher is a parent figure or hero to a student. We should support teachers more.
We've tried to stay consistent with the quality of our popcorn and the flavors we create. All along the way, we have listened to the ideas and suggestions of our customers. You never know what flavors are going to become super flavors. Sometimes it is trial and error. Other times it is obvious from day one that we have a hit.
It is amazing and I am thankful that Cravings Popcorn has become a Christmas holiday tradition. It is truly humbling. People buy popcorn for people they love. To show appreciation to teachers, co-workers and family members. I can't believe how much popcorn will be in stocking on Christmas morning.

I always feel horrible when we mess up an order. But, 9 times out of 10, when we go out of our way to make it right, I feel way better than I did before. The customer is not always right. But we can usually find a way to make everyone happy.

I certainly thank my wife and sons, as well as, family members and friends that kept me motivated when I wasn't feeling my best. It has not been an easy road. The journey required many people to keep the train on the tracks.

Nearly 10 years of making gourmet popcorn. It's funny, we started in the farmer's market and all these years later, it feels like it was just yesterday. Lot's of stories to share. Some good times, some bad times. But, through it all, I am proud to have been able to meet lots of great people and have tons of opportunities to do fun and exciting things.

As a kid, it can sometimes be a little intimidating to sell something, even if it’s for a cause they’re passionate about, and a product they’re excited about. Talking to friends and family, or even strangers to sell something can be a new experience, but it doesn’t have to be an overwhelming one, and it can actually create a lot of self-confidence when done the right way!
Fundraising can be confusing and exhausting. It takes a good deal of time and money to launch a successful fundraiser. On top of that, asking for money might not be your cup of tea. The unfortunate side of things is that you need to raise funds for sports equipment, school trips and much more for your children.

Downtown and Old Town operations are not closing. Cravings is expanding the wholesale operation in order to grow business, including retail selling, concessions and fundraisers for school groups and non-profits.
Both locations are staying open and will continue to operate normally.
Old Town’s and Downtown’s favorite gourmet popcorn popcorn company is closing its Okemos location located at 1875 W Grand River Avenue in Okemos to open a new production facility and office in Lansing.
You will soon be able to buy Cravings Gourmet Popcorn at Lansing area Quality Dairy stores. Delicious Chicago Style popcorn in a 2.4 oz bag and Dark Molasses Caramel in a 3.2 oz bag will be available in most Quality Dairy stores by May 1st, 2016.

We've been working hard to fill our soda pop collection. We received new shipments of Vernor's Ginger Ale, a Michigan and Detroit classic, Nehi and Cheerwine from North Carolina. Nehi comes in grape, orange and delicious peach. Cheerwine is an awesome cherry cola soda. All come in glass bottles and are made with cane sugar.
Okemos Cravings Popcorn is the hub of all of our soda pop inventory. From Okemos, we distribute to our Old Town store and to our Downtown store which will open late October.

Eric was the happiest guy in the world when we notified him the he was the winner of a
$200 gourmet popcorn prize pack. The contest ran for six weeks, ending May 1, 2015. Eric received a ton of popcorn, including two 'Popcorn of the Month" cards, a jumbo sized bag of 'Chicago Style' popcorn, an assortment of chocolate drizzled popcorn and other flavors.
