Be A Tourist In Your Own Town

How many events can you think of that you can take the entire family out for $1 a person? Well, "Be A Tourist In Your Own Town" is an event that you can take the entire family around the city of Lansing to see various attractions for a very, very, very low price. Passports only cost $1 per person. Passports are your ticket for fun. You can ride the CATA bus on five specific routes, specially designed for the day, for only fifty cents a person. Many of the attractions that you can visit are free to visit for the day. They include Impression 5 Science Museum, Potter Park Zoo, the state Capitol Building, museums on the Michigan State University campus and many more sites. Don't limit yourself to the obvious attractions. There are hidden gems that will surprise you. You can also visit cool shops and restaurants around Old Town Lansing and Downtown Lansing, as well as other parts of the city.

 

Be a tourist in your own town is one of the most exciting days for families in the city of Lansing. The reason it is exciting is because you can see parts of the city that you don't normally visit on a daily basis. Kids love it because they can ride the bus to have that big city excitement. They get to see buildings and neighborhoods from a different perspective.
